20+ Parks with Big Slides in Orange County
July 10, 2021
Finally! A list of parks with big slides in Orange County, California. This one took me a while to put together.
I thought about making the list only tunnel slides or some call them tube slides. Then I felt bad for the corkscrew slides or spiral slides. Some kids like the super wide slides where they can race their 2 or 3 friends.
I feel like this list is a work in progress and I’m open to suggestions for the tallest slides in Orange County or the widest slides in Orange County. Just drop me an email and I’ll add to the list.
I also thought it would be fun to do a food pairing for this slide post! So I came up with the idea to list places to get sliders (mini-burgers usually served as an appetizer). You’ll find my list of those spots and even recipes for you to make at home at the end of this post.
Parks with Big Slides in Orange County
Parks with big slides! That's what your kids keep asking for and that's what I've tried to highlight in this list of over 20 parks with the biggest or tallest slides in Orange County.

Bluebird Park in Laguna Beach
Okay, so this slide isn't super tall or big -- but the rocketship it's housed in is a favorite with kids.

Baker Ranch Community Park in Lake Forest
This one will wear out your little ones with the climb to get up and around to slide down again and again.

Victory Park in Tustin
I like to call this one BIG BLUE - you can see why! And do you see LITTLE BLUE in the background? If you click over to the post you'll see there's also a bank of slides for racing.

Pines Park Above Capistrano Beach
One big slide and lots of other slides at Pines Park and you even get a peekaboo view of the ocean.

Dinosaur Park in Laguna Hills
You don't even realize there is this huge slide at Dinosaur Park until you get to the back of the playground. As a bonus, you'll find some of the fastest metal slides in the county (photos in the park post) located front and center of the playground.

Marina Park in Newport Beach on the Balboa Peninsula
This is maybe more of a long tunnel slide rather than big -- but it sure has personality coming off the lighthouse!

Pioneer Road Park in Tustin
This is another "hidden" big slide that you wouldn't notice if you were playing over in the covered wagons (yes, this park has covered wagon shaped play equipment!).

Portola Park in Lake Forest
I had to get a wide view of this one to show the tall slides coming off both sides of this playground.

Heritage Park Play Island in Cerritos
This is maybe the only slide I know that comes out of a building? (And not in Orange County, but very close for those who live in North and Central OC.

Florence Joyner Olympiad Park in Mission Viejo
This is my favorite slide at Olympiad, but there are many more opportunities for sliding at this park! Visit the park post to see all the other slides.

Melinda Park in Mission Viejo
I love the yellow corkscrew of this slide at Melinda Park. It looks small in the photo, but feels pretty tall when you are sitting at the top! And can you see the short blue tunnel slide on the other side?

Irvine Adventure Playground at University Park
Irvine Adventure Playground has this awesome slide that feels like it's coming right out of a fort or hideout -- plus a set of concrete slides!

Bosque Playground at Great Park Trails in Irvine
The setting of this slide is just lush and beautiful. From the top of the slide, you can see views of the Great Park balloon and surrounding area.

OC Great Park Playgrounds in Irvine
There's another playground at the OC Great Park with big slides. Another corkscrew slide coming off this one.

Irvine Terrace Park in Newport Beach
This was the first playground I found with a tunnel slide that had a view. They seems small in comparison to some of the others I've shared, but it's a great park with many other slides and shade covers over some of the equipment.

Grant Howald Park in Newport Beach
This is a pretty tall two person racer slide newly installed at this park in Newport Beach.
