Farmers Markets In Orange County

Our list of Farmers Markets in Orange County is arranged in alphabetical order by city. There are farmers markets almost every day of the week and in nearly every city in the county. Head out for some fresh air and find fresh, local fruits and vegetables and hand made goods direct from local vendors.

10 Reasons to Shop Orange County’s Farmers’ Markets

  1. Farmers Market Fun for the Whole Family: Farmers markets are a great way to stock up on fresh local produce, but they can be a fun family outing too. Have a scavenger hunt and give your kids a list of things to shop.
  2. Discover New Foods: You’ll find plenty of the standard fare but you’ll also find items you may not have enjoyed yet.
  3. Enjoy the Entertainment: Some farmers markets offer more than shopping. You may find anything from live music and dancing to activities for kids, like stories, crafts, or visiting animals.
  4. Taster Real Flavors: The fruits and vegetables you buy at the farmers market are the freshest and tastiest available. No long-distance shipping, no gassing to simulate the ripening process, no sitting for weeks in storage.
  5. Support Family Famers: Directly supports family farms that are part of the community rather than large grocery chains.
  6. Connect with Your Community: Shoppers get to know the people who are growing/producing their food and other patrons at the markets.
  7. Discover the Spice of Life and Hard-To-Find: A larger diversity of produce is available at farmers’ markets. You’ll find an amazing array of produce that you don’t see in an average supermarket
  8. Protect the Environment: Produce at farmers’ markets travels a shorter distance from the field to the plate and has a smaller carbon footprint
  9. Learn Cooking Tips, Recipes, and Meal Ideas: Farmers, ranchers, and artisans are often passionate cooks with plenty of free advice about how to cook the foods they are selling.
  10. It’s Good for Your Health: Produce and foods found in farmers markets are minimally processed and often grown without using pesticides, antibiotics, or genetic modification
