IRVINE, CA — Orange County residents on the hunt for delicious Mexican food on the house are encouraged to stop by El Torito Mexican Restaurant on Thursday, Oct. 13 as they serve up free tacos from 3 p.m. to closing, the restaurant announced on its website.

The celebration marks the Cypress-based restaurant's 68th birthday, and residents can choose from a build-your-own-taco bar that includes chicken, steak, carnitas or al pastor, according to a news release.

In North Orange County, residents can find the nearest El Torito Mexican Restaurant in Irvine at 18512 MacArthur Blvd. and in Westminster at 15042 Goldenwest St.

The celebration will include $4 street corn, $4 queso dip, $8 chicken flautas, $4 draft beers and $6 signature margaritas. A live mariachi will also perform during the birthday celebration, a news release said.

El Torito currently has 31 restaurants in California. Its parent company, Xperience Restaurant Group, is based in Cypress.
