Irvine Global Village Festival

The Irvine Global Village Festival celebrates cultures from around the world, with a day of music and performances. A variety of Multi-cultural food is available to purchase from local restaurants and food trucks. Shop for international goods and gifts from vendors and artisans offering textiles, crafts, and art.
The Kid’s Village features kid-inspired music, crafts, sports, and games, and kid-friendly food options. Demonstrations, and educational and interactive exhibits take place throughout the day including martial arts, tennis, crafting, music, and dancing.
The first multicultural festival in Irvine was held in 1988 by a group of local residents. In 2000, a second festival was held, and interest grew to expand the event to a larger venue. The 2002 event, officially dubbed the Irvine Global Village Festival, was held at the Irvine Civic Center and drew about 4000 visitors.
The Irvine Global Village Festival is the city’s signature event.
